WIWW #8

I told myself that I wasn’t going to participate in WIWW at The Pleated Poppy this week because putting together “stylish” outfits and taking pictures has become somewhat of a chore. I discovered that it has also become a habit! I’m not saying I’m always stylish…just that where before I might have just thrown on a shirt, now I accessorize and layer it. I wore just a long sleeve T and jeans the other day and I felt incomplete all day! I can’t imagine doing this in the summer though. It would be the “WIWW Swimsuit Edition” or the “WIWW Sweat My Butt Off at Baseball Games Edition”!

These boots are on their way out. They drove me nuts all day. I love them, but they have no structure and end up very slouchy unless I keep pulling them up. Drives me nuts!

Sweater: Old Navy

Shirt & belt: Target

jeans: TJ Maxx

Boots: Ross

necklace: Forever 21

This is a good example of bumping it up a notch (a small notch.) A few months ago, I would have just worn the striped shirt, jeans and boots. Now, I added a shirt underneath and the scarf. Not a big deal, but looks a little more “stylish” than the shirt by itself. (At least that’s what I tell myself!)

Shirt: Gap Outlet

Jeans: Old Navy

scarf: Walmart

boots: Clark's from Bergner’s

Cardigan (old), button up shirt: Target

skinny jeans: Old Navy

Boots: Life Stride

belt: very old from Walmart

necklace: Cato

Another case of old me would have just worn the t-shirt. New me kept adding stuff.

T-shirt: Target

white button-up: Steve & Barry’s

jeans: Lee from VF Outlet

shoes: Old Navy

necklace: Forever 21

belt: thrifted

Great as always! Love the last look. I am the same I would have just worn the tee.

I agree it can become a chore and some days I just don't have it in me. You look cute as always!

This past week was definitely harder for me too. I like the red sweater. Nice pop of color! I'm still too chicken to wear a belt over a sweater though!

You can't quit posting, I love your WIWW edition! That berry colored shirt looks great on you. I think that is your color :)

You are so cute, as always! I love your combinations. I think you work it fabulously! I like the scarf- thing you've got going on. I was thinking you had some type of ruffle-y shirt underneath but it was a scarf! I'm kind of sad all the layers will disappear with summer. I do love layering!

I like your style and it's been inspiring to me! You dress cute - and I'm trying to do the same thing, bump up my usual outfits up a notch by adding layers, scarves, etc. Your outfits give me ideas so thank you!

Send those boots my way! I don't care if I have to pull them up 5 million times a day they are too cute to get rid of!!!

All outfits cute as always :)

Love them all! I love how you are layering; I am the same and would just put the tshirt on. You are teaching me to layer...layer! Love it! I am still not brave enough to do WIWW!

YES! The lil touches make it more stylish! I know what ya mean....I wasn't going to post either BUT it is a habit (and a GOOD one because it makes me a lil more accountable).

It is a chore. And there are days I just don't have time to get in the photo. Hence no WIWW for me this week. Boo too since I've been stepping out of my comfort zone. I totally know what you mean about layering. Today I wore a tank, blouse and a light blouse weight type jacket. Because of being more 'stylish'. I am getting more compliments at work on my outfits tho. LOL
Love all your outfits. In fact I picked up a gray striped shirt this week bc of you. Ok, maybe that sounds 'stalkerish'. HA!

This is my first week trying WIWW. I agree that it feels like a chore, but it's fun. I love your outfits, seems like you put together great looks!

I love all your outfits! You always look great and put together...but I get ya...it is work and sometimes you just need to wear jeans and a t-shirt. Saturdays and Sundays in particular for me. If we are not doing anything other than being around the house I don't "dress up" or accessorize at all.

Your outfits just go to show that a little something extra like an extra layer, belt or scarf go a long way. I know what you mean about WIWW becoming a chore. I took about a 6wk break at the end of 2010, but I've had fun in 2011. I like your F21 necklace. I find some cute and cheap jewelry everytime I go in that store. Another great week! Thanks for the inspiration!

I like how you explained how you bumped up the outfits, and it's amazing what just a little addition can do! Super cute as always...
