Today was the first day of Teacher Appreciation Week. My friend Angie and I volunteered to handle the luncheon. I saw this idea from Skip to My Lou and knew we had to do it. It turned out great. Exhausting, but great. We put together 60 sacks of either chicken salad or turkey and swiss on a croissant, broccoli/cauliflower salad and fruit salad. We had several people bring in yummy desserts. It worked out so well because when the teachers came in, we found their sack for them and they chose a drink. Our teacher's lounge is pretty small and there isn't much room to do the usual buffet so this prevented a traffic jam. They really seemed to love it. We fed the entire staff--not just the teachers because it takes ALL of them to make McGaughey the AWESOME school that it is!
These two little hooligans were as good as you could expect a 4 and 5 year old to be while we worked all day on the luncheon. We kept telling everyone that they were the entertainment.
