Jack's baseball season started out very doubtful. He cried the entire first practice. Travis is the coach so this was a little unexpected. Travis came stomping home that first night and said, "That's it! I'm not coaching him. He cried and held onto my leg the whole time." Welcome to my world. Jack is very unpredictable. I just never know how he is going to react to a situation. The next practice, I went and did everything with him. I ran bases, played outfield, etc. After about 45 minutes, he quit crying and got into it. The next practice, he just cried once or twice. Now he loves it and can't wait to get there. He had his first game last week and he was pretty darn funny.
Hey, batter, batter, SWING! He's either yawning or chattering.

Check out his eyes. They are closed! He got a hit though!

Heading to first base. This kid never runs slowly--unless he's running the bases.

Whew. His first PeeWee hit. We were mighty proud. There is nothing cuter than a tiny little boy in baseball pants!

The other day we reminded Jacob about his first organized sports experience. He begged to play soccer, so we signed him up with reservations (he was 4). The first practice he cried and clung to my leg. Eventually he ran up and down the field as long as I ran beside him. I'm sure the other parents thought we were one of "those" parents. You know, the parents who push their kids into sports. One of those experiences where you don't know wheather to be forceful or understanding with your child. Jacob is now 15, playing baseball (without his mom by his side) and driving (with his mom by his side). Remember, this too shall pass and before long you'll look back and wonder where the time has gone.
Go Jack!!!!!! Way to go, getting your first hit! We are all proud of you, keep up the good work!

He is so cute! As I was reading that I thought "Hmmm I've seen Sara go through the same thing with Jack :D "
Linds was so excited to see him the other day, she chatted Eric up one side and down the other about how her friends came to her house.
