Looks pretty good, huh?
Well, upon closer inspection, you can see that I had to do quite a bit of filling with wood putty to make those corners look half-way decent. They were still a little rough, but I don't really care.
Up close. How beautiful!
There. That's better. I spray painted the whole thing with oil-rubbed bronze paint which is just a shade different than black. She's looking better by the minute!
Then I added just a little tiny bit of silverish/goldish metallic paint onto the beads. And this is the final result. It turned out pretty much how I wanted and I'm thrilled that I only had to spend $6.00 on moulding to get a "new" mirror. It's hanging in my kitchen now and the mirror I had there before has been relocated to my entry.

Girl! How smart are you! I love what those beads do for that molding! (You didn't have to flash anybody to get those beads did ya? Oh well, I understand that a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!)
Grins!

That looks really good, is that the same set of necklaces that you wore on your big night out with your guys?
Michelle, those necklaces were, in fact, part of that set of fine jewels. I should mention that they necklaces came to the circus on Jack but he got tired of them and put them on me. When I tried to take them off, he said, "But I gave them to you." And since that is the only piece of jewelry I've received from a man since my wedding ring, I figured I should at least wear them! ;-)
That is an AMAZING transformation! When I saw the pink necklace, and then the painted version my jaw literally dropped. NICE job!
