As part of my effort to do fun stuff the last few weeks of summer vacation, we went to Bloomington's Miller Park Zoo and brought along our friend, Drew. The zoo was so nice--little, but nice. It was a perfect day--not too hot and not too crowded. (Notice how Drew and Jack look more like brothers than Parker and Jack. Interestingly, both of Drew's brothers have very dark hair like Parker.) And Drew is a kid after my own heart. On our way there he said, "I hope they don't just have guinea pigs."

Awww! I always forget about Miller Park Zoo! After spending 4 hours at the St. Louis Zoo (which is free, but because of that it's ALWAYS crowded) a nice little zoo like that sounds like the way to go. Especially since Jake's favorite animal at the zoo was "the ducks"...and not any special ones either...just the wild ones that randomly fly in and walk around. Awesome! ;)
