In honor of Father's day, I'm only going to post layouts about the dads in my life for the next week. I don't have too many of Travis with the boys because he scowls at the camera. Or rolls his eyes. Or doesn't look at the camera. Basically every photo looks like crap which doesn't make me want to scrap them.
I didn't stick to my "no fast food" rule for the week. We got Culver's (for me and Jack) and McDonald's (for Parker.) It was a simple case of poor planning on my part. Parker had a game last night and we didn't eat before and by the time the game was over, it was really too late to make anything. I also really like Culver's.
Parker entertained me and our neighbor all afternoon because he was in imagination overdrive. He is so clever when it comes to finding gear to outfit himself to "be" something. Today he was a police officer/investigator. He had me make a badge and an identification card (made to flip open like a real officer). He loaded down his pockets with handcuffs, plastic baggies, plastic gloves, gun (a red and white power ranger water gun for those of you who are anti-toy gun). And then he went searching for clues. He began picking up cigarette butts and wanted to figure out who the different kinds belonged to. He even made Don, our neighbor, take him to "question" our other neighbor, Mike--a known smoker. God love Don (and Mike) for playing along! When Parker was really little he used to sit over at Don and Patti's and look through Don's tackle box. He was mesmerized by all the different flys (don't worry there were no hooks) One time, a part of a bright pink rubber salamander showed up in his diaper. It must have looked tasty! We are sooooo lucky to have awesome neighbors! That is something no amount of money could ever buy.
It is 12:16 a.m. and I am not feeling tired yet. That is not good.
Good night.
